Welcome to my new Sunday series, affectionately known as Simple Sunday! The aim of this series is to showcase projects using minimal supplies, ideal for the beginner crafter or someone new to Stampin’ Up! Each project is a white card base with a 3×3″ panel decorated using a single stamp set or die set. This week’s project features the Flowers of Friendship stamp set that you can purchase from the Annual Catalogue.
When you have stamp set that includes flowers as pretty as these, you don’t really need to do much to make a pretty card. That is why I had to include this stamp set as part of my Simple Sunday series. I could have quite easily added lots of jewelled embellishments or ribbon to highlight the colours on the card – but I don’t feel it needs it.
I used Stampin’ Blends to colour my flowers in, but you could swap out the blends for the ink pads and achieve a similar look – cater it to your own items in your stash. I coloured mine with Polished Pink and Just Jade, which look gorgeous together. The blends allowed me to add some dimension to the flowers and leaves, where ink may have stamped a flat colour.
Best Wishes,
