Gleaming Selection Box

I think I am well and truly getting into the Christmas spirit now – the second lockdown that the UK currently faces has almost pushed me into getting organised and so my projects have turned to Christmas treats for my team at work. Every year, they get a box (or bag) of handmade gifts from me as a Christmas present usually including something tasty and something they can put to use in their role.

This gorgeous box is a selection box and houses four different mini chocolate bars (multipack size). Rather than building segments into the base, I have created four separate mini boxes and then housed them with a single lid. The Brightly Gleaming paper has to be one of my ultimate favourites and I will be sad to stop using this paper when the Mini Catalogue comes to an end. However, whilst its still here, I will continue to use it as much as I can (and quite possibly buy more!)

What chocolates would you house in a box like this? Let me know…

Best wishes,
Suzanne

Flutterby Hi

Teeny tiny projects are the best, they’re so cute and are really good for the craft supplies! This cute little book fold box was cased from Pootles, with some changes to the measurements and the design. It fits two mini Green & Blacks chocolates, one in each half of the holder.

Using leftover elements of my Wrapped in Christmas project kit, I made a contrasting Shaded Spruce & Real Red version. The ribbon is absolutely gorgeous and ties the best bows!

With the paper in the Project Kit, you could make approximately 80 of these as gifts. Or approximately 70 if you make the projects included both in the box and the video mini series!

I hope you enjoy this project!

Best Wishes,
Suzanne

Project Kit Series: Impossible Cracker

So the first of the Wrapped in Christmas Project Kit videos is here and I have to admit, the finished design of this box was a complete accident. As you’ll see in the video, this was meant to be a Christmas cracker (and still can be), but as I was putting it together I pushed the cracker sides too hard and they went in on themselves creating a really nice closure to the box.

This entire project is made using the Wrapped in Christmas Project Kit available from myself and can be made using any option purchased as all kits will have some remaining consumables. It uses a single sheet of the paper, a single embellishment, a small piece of ribbon and cardstock.

You can get your Project Kit by clicking on the button below. Watch my video at the bottom of this post to see the project in full.

Silver Sparkles

At this time of year my attention turns to desk top treats that I can make for my colleagues at work – and the treats that can go inside them. Chocolate and sweet treats are often the default goody that I reach for, but there are times when these aren’t suitable and other options are required.

Tealights are one alternative, especially scented ones. The ones I used in this box are different to the usual, they are 6 hour candles which means they are deeper than the normal tealights – fitting 8 in this box.

The Designer Series Paper (DSP) used is Feels like Frost, a gorgeous returning fave from last year – both sides of the paper are lush, aren’t they? I kept the theme focussed around the silver of the paper and finished it off with the silver edged ribbon.

I think it would be a cute table gift as an alternative to sweet treats.

Best Wishes,
Suzanne
