Polar Hue

PolarHue_Pic

How cute is this gorgeous Polar Bear? Another animal that I get to colour in with my blends – which makes me happy! He looks so happy skating along there.. To make this card, I chose the Designer Series Paper (DSP) to go with the stamp set & my colours went from there. The DSP contains Highland Heather and Pool Party, so this is the colours I used on my Polar Bear to tie the theme together.

Mounting the DSP onto a piece of Highland Heather, I then used the Stitched So Sweetly dies to create a lovely border for my Polar Bear to make him the central focus on the front, finished off with a beautiful ‘For You’ sentiment.

It’s a very simple card, but a lovely one that could quickly be reproduced – I hope you like it!

Best Wishes,
Suzanne

Open If you Dare

I love Halloween and I always love the Halloween suites that Stampin’ Up! releases each year – without fail. This years is even better than last years; the Designer Series Paper (DSP), the embellishments, the glimmer… I love it all!  I also love how it gets me using colours that I don’t often reach for – such as Cajun Craze.

This little box is the right size to house a candle jar from Air Wick, I prefer using these inside pumpkins on Halloween as they contain the flame, are easy to set in and out of the pumpkin and can be used around the home afterwards too.

Inspired by the candle itself, my first version was made using Blackberry Bliss, it co-ordinated well with the DSP pattern I chose and also meant I could switch out the colour and keep all the other elements the same.

I cannot get enough of the embellishments on this box – the Iridescent Pearls, the Black Glimmer paper and the Glittered Organdy Ribbon. They look so good together and make a perfect finish for my box.

Which colour do you prefer?

Best Wishes,
Suzanne

Blends Gift Box

FloralPenBox_Pic

I am absolutely loving my TFI Crafty Friday Lives – it’s nice to be online, crafting with like minded friends sharing ideas and inspiration. Hosted on Facebook at 7:30 every Friday, I bring a new project and showcase the items used to make it. Yesterday, I made this gorgeous gift box which holds 10 Stampin’ Blends pens.

I was inspired by the amazing Helzie over @ SlimmandStylish.com who used the ‘All Things Fabulous’ stamp set during a Youtube Live. It was a set that I had skipped past when I looked through the catalogue and hadn’t really paid much attention to it. Then I saw Helzie use it and immediately loved the dimension you get from the triple stamping.

It’s an amazing set to use to make your own version of Designer Series Paper (DSP) and you get a different result every time and because they’re stamps, you can change up the colours as you wish. As you’ll see on my video below – I switched the colours round to suit the feature colour of the box.

I love it – and the box is a great way to gift a set of blends (or other stationery) to a friend or family member.

Best Wishes,
Suzanne

Simple Friendship

Today I have a #simplestamping card for you made with one piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP), one stamp set, one colour of card stock and one colour of Ink. This features the First Frost paper which was wildly popular last year and is a returning favourite in this year’s Autumn / Winter Mini Catalogue.

The First Frost paper has two differing sides to the paper, one being a foiled patterned side and the other being gorgeous snowy / winter images. I chose the latter and picked this gorgeous snowy sunset over a forest. I didn’t want to take anything away from the stunning image, so layered it quite simply onto a piece of Blackberry Bliss and stamped my sentiment straight onto the paper in the bottom corner.

The Stamp Set used is Snowflake Wishes, part of a new suite which has just been released in the catalogue and is proving very popular.

Best Wishes,
Suzanne

Feeling Boho Blue

photo_template-Recovered

Small boxes are absolutely adorable and they’re even better when you get to make them from a single suite of products! This project uses the absolutely gorgeous Boho Indigo Product Medley, a selection of goodies with dark blues as a theme – Night of Navy & Misty Moonlight in the Stampin’ Up! world.

I love darker colours, so getting to use these lovely dark shades of blue is right up my street. The product medley can be found on page 9 of the 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue, just before the kits. It contain a whole host of goodies including a stamp set, a 6×6 Designer Series Paper Stack, co-ordinating dies and two sets of ribbon!

To showcase this suite, I chose a relatively simple box to make – no fancy folds or over the top decoration. This box is 3 inches square and is a lovely size to house sweet treats, some small cards / tags or perhaps some jewellery.

The ribbon finishes off the box really well, I love the frayed edge on it and it feels so soft! And the best part? You can buy refills for the medley if you run out!

Best Wishes,
Suzanne
