Strawberry Best

I am falling in love with the Berry Delightful and Berry Blessings set that come FREE as part of Sale-a-Bration. At first, the thought of fruit on a card didn’t appeal to me and I preferred the patterned sides of the paper. But the more I look at it, the more the fruit draws me in. And this card will hopefully show you why!

The colours on this particular pattern are gorgeous, they open you up to endless colour choices for a project and make life that bit easier when understanding what you are going use. When I first saw this pattern, I knew it had to be a project that showed off the paper, with minimal stamping – so a card seemed the perfect opportunity.

With a quick sentiment at the bottom and a strawberry fussy cut from a left over piece. This card is too cute to keep! A close up of the paper pattern above should show you why. Anyone who receives that won’t be able to stop themselves from falling in love with it too.

Have you seen the other designs in the pack too?

Best Wishes,
Suzanne

Made with Love and Birdies

Last week, I took part in a team event with other demos in the wider team that I am part of. The event was based around the Curvy Variety bundle and this was one of the make and take projects that formed part of the event – it’s so pretty!

The leaves are coloured using a technique taught by Pootles, blending the inky outline in an almost watercolour effect, with a glittery sparkle finish. It’s beautiful. Mine is made with Shaded Spruce, Mint Macaron and Soft Suede – which I think look gorgeous together. I’m not sure what colouring I’ve tried to mimic on the birds though..

The little birds on this card are so bloody cute! I sometimes wonder what they’re twittering to one another, just like when you hear birds outside your window.

What do you think they’re saying?

Best Wishes,
Suzanne

Autumnal Thanks

Who loves Autumn and the latter part of the year? I know I do. The colours, the cosy nights, the lead up to Christmas. The Gilded Autumn suite is a great hit of everything that’s gorgeous about that period. With gorgeous copper ribbon, brushed metallics and leafy patterns, the suite screams Autumn before you even read the title of it.

Yesterday, on my Facebook Live, I showed this gorgeous bag. Ideal for thank you gifts, table favours or perhaps treat bags full of goodies. The ribbon keeps the bag closed by wrapping back on itself – no punch holes required. Which means you don’t have to tie / untie it repeatedly either – score!

The bag is a good size too, 6 inches in height by 31/2 wide by 2 inches deep. Plenty of space to fit lots inside. The paper I used on the sample in the photo above is Mint Macaron, with the one in my video made using a Cajun Craze pattern. Both are stunning designs, which is why I chose to showcase them in the way I have.

The fussy cut stitched leaf acts as a tag on the bag, whilst acting as decoration, it doesn’t take away from the gorgeous paper being used. The Stitched Leaves dies are utterly gorgeous and you’ll see them make more appearances on my blog!

Best Wishes,
Suzanne
