Merry Merlot and the absolutely gorgeous Joyous Noel Designer Series Paper (DSP) make another appearance on the blog today. They are both highly addictive craft materials and once you start, you just can’t stop crafting with them. This time I have teamed them with the amazing double sided Copper and Merlot ribbon & the Joyous Noel Glimmer paper. WOW!

The foiled snowflakes on this piece of DSP really set the card alive and I wanted them to be the main focus of this card. The only things I added were a small piece of ribbon to set behind my sentiment, punched out and bordered with Glimmer.

For the sentiment, I used the Flourish Filigree stamp set and fussy cut around the shape to allow a border of glimmer to peek from behind it. The double sided ribbon adds the final touches to the card.

Let me know what you think.

Best Wishes,
Suzanne

Candy Canes Everywhere!

Am I too early to be showing so much Christmas? Have any of you started your Christmas shopping yet? Or are you one of those who leave everything until Christmas Eve and do it last minute? Christmas is one of my favourite times of year, I love the lights, the glitter, the food – of course! And I absolutely LOVE gifting Christmas treats to my work colleagues, candy canes are a staple amongst those treats.

The Candy Cane paper from the Santa’s Workshop pack alongside the Candy Cane Season bundle are brilliant together. They make life easy for you and putting them together is as easy as pie. For an extra bit of glitz, I added some glimmer to mine as well as a doilie.

Let me know if you’re a fan of Christmas or if you’ve made any Christmassy projects.

Best Wishes,
Suzanne

Merry Christmas Glimmer

Christmas always bring out the glitzy side of me, I don’t seem to use glimmer paper at any other time than the festive season. The Merry Christmas dies immediately screamed glimmer paper to me, the intricate worded dies are a good size and so take centre place on any card or project you make.

Today, I teamed Garden Green and Gold together keeping it simple with some Designer Series Paper (DSP) and the greeting ‘Merry Christmas’. A very quick card to make and great for if you need something last minute with minimal supplies needed.

A great choice to make multiples of and can be cycled with differing papers and glimmer choices.

Best Wishes,
Suzanne

Frosted Floral Card

All of my favourite things on one card.. Purple, Frosted Florals DSP & glimmer paper! I’ve already gushed about this paper on previous posts of mine, but it just continues to wow me. The paper takes all the attention meaning you can keep your cards and projects simple, which is what I have done.

I was so pleased when Blackberry Bliss made a return during the colour refresh, it has always been one of my favourite colour (so much so, I didn’t get rid of my old ink pads when it retired!). One of my favourite colour combinations is purple and gold, so I took full advantage in using those colours for this card.

I’m sure you’ll agree that the colours look amazing together and the pearl sheen on the paper just makes it even more beautiful to look at!

Best Wishes,
Suzanne
