Plaid Daddy

Mixing and matching is a big part of the fun when crafting. Grabbing different colours, stamp sets, dies etc and bringing them together to create final project. This particular project is a great example of that – where originally I wanted to make a plaid top to sit on a box lid, but then somehow created a card front fit for a daddy’s birthday.

The Plaid Builder dies have been in my stash since the Annual Catalogue launched back in June, but have yet to be used on a project. They’re the perfect size for a card front, so when I realised the size, my plan quickly changed.

One of the dies as part of the Plaid Builder has cute little squares as off cuts, so I recycled these and paired them up with the Playful Alphabet dies to spell out ‘Daddy’ and then teamed it with the Baby Pull Toys and sets to really finish the project off. I love it!

Have you used the Plaid Builder dies? Perhaps you could join my Crafty Hullahbaloo Facebook group and share your makes?

Suzanne

Pull Toys Love

They’re back – the cute little animals from the Baby Pull Toys stamp set are back. It doesn’t take long for me to reach for this stamp set again and again, it’s almost addictive! You have to admit that the little animals are the cutest things ever, and they’re so easy to colour in with Stampin’ Blends.

I took inspiration from the Mini Catalogue and stamped all three animals in a row to form a gorgeous little train. I chose to colour these ones with blends using an assortment of different colours. In my Facebook live yesterday, I put together a baby girl version of the box using Blushing Bridge – but you could of course make this box from any colour (although I personally love the subtles!)

The box is so simple to put together and has the most adorable finish to it. What colour would you choose to make it in?

Best Wishes,
Suzanne

Pull Toy Congrats

This is a warning – this stamp set may appear so many times between January and June that I might just annoy you a little with it! I’ve already got two projects lined up in January and more on the way!

But, just look at how cute this little elephant is? He was the first stamp that I used from my demonstrator pre-order, I simply stamped him and went from there. He’s coloured with blends in this project – Grey Granite and Balmy Blue to be exact. To allow him to pop off the card, he’s been fussy cut and popped on dimensionals.

I don’t have anyone to gift this card to just yet, but it’s a perfect one to have ready in my card stash if / when a baby boy is born.

Best Wishes,
Suzanne

Baby Elephant Congratulations

Aww, look at the baby elephant! How cute is this set? And the awesome-ness doesn’t stop there! This gorgeous elephant comes in a bundle including stamp set and punch and teamed with the Twinkle Twinkle Designer Series Paper (DSP), you have endless opportunities for baby related projects.

On this project, I let the paper lead the inspiration and the ideas flowed into this card. Both a pink and a blue one were made and both of them look absolutely gorgeous as the products co-ordinate so well.

The elephants are perfect for cards, boxes, bags, frames – the list is endless! I’m sure you would agree.

Best Wishes,
Suzanne
