Bright Birthdays

As part of the joining offer during Sale-a-Bration, you can earn a FREE set of Designer Series Paper (DSP). When I say set, I mean 5 PACKETS!!! of yet to be released paper from the upcoming Annual Catalogue in June. That’s right, you can get them ahead of everyone. Even demos can no longer get their hands on these, as the pre-order time period is over. So if you join my team before 28th February 2021, you can earn the paper that made this card.

Of the five packs, I chose to go with the Brights collection. I usually fall into the trap of sticking to the Subtles or the Regals, so took a bit of a lane swerve. I love the colours that I chose, they go together so well; Pacific Point, Gorgeous Grape, Granny Apple Green and Daffodil Delight.

I wanted to match the stamping to the strips in the background, so used the same technique seen yesterday on my Simple Sunday series by using Stampin’ Write markers to colour sections of the sentiment. Which I think stamped rather well!

Have you seen the joining offer and been tempted? Ask me how before it’s too late!

Best Wishes,
Suzanne

After Eight Teacher

20200705_172401369_iOS

How is already that time of year? Schools are getting ready to break up for the six weeks of summer (for those year groups that have been able to return following Covid-19 closures). For my eldest son, this is his last year in Primary School and he moves onto the scary world that is High School from September. Even though he will have only been back mere weeks, he wanted to get his teachers something to say ‘thank you’ and ‘goodbye’.

Inside these boxes are 10 After Eight chocolates, just the right amount to say thank you to each teacher without overloading them to the point they need a gym membership to work off the extra pounds gained from end of year gifts.

My son chose the Whale of a Time paper stack and a fish pattern in Shaded Spruce – which works well as the After Eight’s choc box is also a dark green. At first we tried stamping and colouring in the apple from Harvest Hellos with Stampin’ Blends, but something just didn’t quite sit right. A quick look on Instagram showed lots of stampers embossing their apples on coloured card stock, which has worked brilliantly on these boxes.

Finished off with a little note inside & a bow of ribbon on the front, these are gorgeous little teacher gifts without breaking the bank. My son can’t wait to give these to his teachers on the last day of school!

Where is this year going?

Best Wishes,
Suzanne

Twinkling Congratulations

20181011_093131955_iOS

Ahhh, how peaceful and serene is this card? A change away from the Festive theme that I’ve had going on the past few weeks and can suit any occasion – with the gorgeous starry sky and the subtles colours to accompany it.

To add layers to this card, I used a circle of vellum – which also adds a backdrop to the sentiment and provides the perfect area for some glimmer stars. Completed with a quick ‘congratulations’ sentiment, which can be changed out to suit.

I absolutely love this card and the Designer Series Paper (DSP) used, I really didn’t want to cut into it, but it makes such a lovely background and serves this card justice.

How are you finding the Twinkle Twinkle suite? Let me see what you’ve made..

Best Wishes,
Suzanne

Stars and Wishes

Merry Merlot and the absolutely gorgeous Joyous Noel Designer Series Paper (DSP) make another appearance on the blog today. They are both highly addictive craft materials and once you start, you just can’t stop crafting with them. This time I have teamed them with the amazing double sided Copper and Merlot ribbon & the Joyous Noel Glimmer paper. WOW!

The foiled snowflakes on this piece of DSP really set the card alive and I wanted them to be the main focus of this card. The only things I added were a small piece of ribbon to set behind my sentiment, punched out and bordered with Glimmer.

For the sentiment, I used the Flourish Filigree stamp set and fussy cut around the shape to allow a border of glimmer to peek from behind it. The double sided ribbon adds the final touches to the card.

Let me know what you think.

Best Wishes,
Suzanne

Rainbow Thanks!

20181004_095936681_iOS.jpg

I can sing a rainbow, sing a rainbow, sing a rainbow too. Rainbows are pretty and are one of my upline’s favourite things. Each month, myself and other members of the team are rewarded for our achievements – be this a title promotion or hitting a sales target. This card was my thanks for those rewards and to show my appreciation.

For this, I combined a series of colours from the Brights & 2018-2020 In Colour DSP stacks to create both the background on the card and as part of the oval for the sentiment. The sentiment itself is hand stamped using the Lined Alphabet stamp set, where I chose to keep it simple with just the outlines finished with Wink of Stella.

I’m really pleased with the finished product and only hope the recipient is too.

Best Wishes,
Suzanne
