Simple Sunday #14 – Boho Indigo

Welcome to my new Sunday series, affectionately known as Simple Sunday! The aim of this series is to showcase projects using minimal supplies, ideal for the beginner crafter or someone new to Stampin’ Up! Each project is a white card base with a 3×3 panel decorated using a single stamp set or die set. This week’s project features part of a product medley that you can purchase from the Annual Catalogue.

The great thing about Stampin’ Up! is they have all crafting skill levels covered, from beginner right through to avid crafter. They think about those who may have just started their crafty hobby and so don’t have much in their stash. Boho Indigo is one of those times. Whilst my Simple Sunday has focused on just the stamp set and one of the pop outs that comes with the medley; it contains so much more including dies, designer series paper, embossed paper and ribbon. Perfect for all levels of crafting!

This video is a very short video, designed with the purpose that should you need a quick make you can re-watch this video. With barely under 5 minutes of total make time, you would be able to whip multiples of this card up in no time!

Did you spot the medley in the Annual Catalogue, you can find it on page 9.

Best Wishes,
Suzanne

Hexagonal Thanks

I enjoy making unusual shape boxes – anything that isn’t square or rectangular. I also love making big boxes that can house lots of treats and goodies. This box was meant to be a flat bottomed, tall box with a hexagonal top to it. However, when making the net of my sample, I got the idea to turn both ends into the same.

On my second version, I switched things up a little by using ‘Tis the Season Designer Series Paper to make a Christmas version. The paper is absolutely gorgeous and so many designs to choose from – I went for a Cherry Cobber candy cane pattern.

My most favourite part is the gold cord that I used to tie up the two ends of the box. I’ve always loved cord to tie boxes and bags together, it is so forgiving when tying bows and is easy to untie to gain access to the contents.

Which colour do you prefer – the Night of Navy or Cherry Cobbler?

Best Wishes,
Suzanne

Feeling Boho Blue

photo_template-Recovered

Small boxes are absolutely adorable and they’re even better when you get to make them from a single suite of products! This project uses the absolutely gorgeous Boho Indigo Product Medley, a selection of goodies with dark blues as a theme – Night of Navy & Misty Moonlight in the Stampin’ Up! world.

I love darker colours, so getting to use these lovely dark shades of blue is right up my street. The product medley can be found on page 9 of the 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue, just before the kits. It contain a whole host of goodies including a stamp set, a 6×6 Designer Series Paper Stack, co-ordinating dies and two sets of ribbon!

To showcase this suite, I chose a relatively simple box to make – no fancy folds or over the top decoration. This box is 3 inches square and is a lovely size to house sweet treats, some small cards / tags or perhaps some jewellery.

The ribbon finishes off the box really well, I love the frayed edge on it and it feels so soft! And the best part? You can buy refills for the medley if you run out!

Best Wishes,
Suzanne
