Blueberry Make My Day…

Now, I will be the first to admit that I was pleasantly surprised at just how gorgeous the Berry Delightful Designer Series Paper (DSP) and Berry Blessing stamp set are. The colours on the page are far more vibrant than any camera can give justice, and the blueberries shown on this card has to be my favourite from the entire pack of paper.

And the best bit? This paper and stamp set are not only a free choice in the Sale-a-bration catalogue, but they also co-ordinate with the Sweet Strawberry bundle from the Mini Catalogue – bonus!

I love the fonts – I love how they have picked a mixture of a script and serif font and bundled them together with a lovely play on words. And of course, no sentiment is safe without some form of embellishment. Instead this time, I paired it with some small blueberries stamped and popped up on dimensionals rather than the traditional rhinestones or pearls.

What do you think? Berries on a card, I think it’s a resounding yes…

Best Wishes,
Suzanne

Pull Toys Love

They’re back – the cute little animals from the Baby Pull Toys stamp set are back. It doesn’t take long for me to reach for this stamp set again and again, it’s almost addictive! You have to admit that the little animals are the cutest things ever, and they’re so easy to colour in with Stampin’ Blends.

I took inspiration from the Mini Catalogue and stamped all three animals in a row to form a gorgeous little train. I chose to colour these ones with blends using an assortment of different colours. In my Facebook live yesterday, I put together a baby girl version of the box using Blushing Bridge – but you could of course make this box from any colour (although I personally love the subtles!)

The box is so simple to put together and has the most adorable finish to it. What colour would you choose to make it in?

Best Wishes,
Suzanne

Pull Toy Congrats

This is a warning – this stamp set may appear so many times between January and June that I might just annoy you a little with it! I’ve already got two projects lined up in January and more on the way!

But, just look at how cute this little elephant is? He was the first stamp that I used from my demonstrator pre-order, I simply stamped him and went from there. He’s coloured with blends in this project – Grey Granite and Balmy Blue to be exact. To allow him to pop off the card, he’s been fussy cut and popped on dimensionals.

I don’t have anyone to gift this card to just yet, but it’s a perfect one to have ready in my card stash if / when a baby boy is born.

Best Wishes,
Suzanne

Simple Sunday #7 – Darling Donkeys

Welcome to my new Sunday series, affectionately known as Simple Sunday! The aim of this series is to showcase projects using minimal supplies, ideal for the beginner crafter or someone new to Stampin’ Up! Each project is a white card base with a 3×3 panel decorated using a single stamp set or die set. This week’s project features a stamp set you can earn during Sale-a-Bration between 5th January and 28th February.

Before the catalogue has even launched, I can tell you this stamp set is going to be popular. It is already all over Pinterest with demonstrators using the set from their catalogue pre-order and you can see why! These little guys are so cute – this one in particular.

I kept this really simple by stamping the donkey, colouring him in with a few blends and fussy cutting him onto the background square. The sentiment is stamped from the same set and with the same ink used to stamp the donkey. So cute!

Will you be adding this set onto your wish list?

Best Wishes,
Suzanne

Simple Sunday #5 – Moving Along

Welcome to my new Sunday series, affectionately known as Simple Sunday! The aim of this series is to showcase projects using minimal supplies, ideal for the beginner crafter or someone new to Stampin’ Up! Each project is a white card base with a 3×3 panel decorated using a single stamp set or die set. This weeks project is showcasing the Way to Go! stamp set, which is so versatile for many different themes – children, welcoming new babies, car / train hobbyists or for those setting off on their travels.

As you know, I love getting my blends out to colour in. However, this stamp set also features two step stamping. Meaning you don’t need to use blends like I have, meaning the one less item from the list of items used. And in true style, I have shown a second colour way in my video below.

I love the dimension of the fussy cut train against the stamped background, highlighting the sentiment and tying the whole project together. For the baby boy version, I used Balmy Blue where I featured Petal Pink for a baby girl inspired card. But you may not wish to follow the traditions and go with something a little brighter.

And best of all? You don’t even have to use a train, the stamp set also features a car and a helicopter! Perfect! But I think I prefer the train – reminds me of Thomas the Tank Engine that I used to watch as a child. Which do you prefer?

Best Wishes,
Suzanne
