Frosted Floral Card

All of my favourite things on one card.. Purple, Frosted Florals DSP & glimmer paper! I’ve already gushed about this paper on previous posts of mine, but it just continues to wow me. The paper takes all the attention meaning you can keep your cards and projects simple, which is what I have done.

I was so pleased when Blackberry Bliss made a return during the colour refresh, it has always been one of my favourite colour (so much so, I didn’t get rid of my old ink pads when it retired!). One of my favourite colour combinations is purple and gold, so I took full advantage in using those colours for this card.

I’m sure you’ll agree that the colours look amazing together and the pearl sheen on the paper just makes it even more beautiful to look at!

Suzanne

Mini Tea Room Notecards

How cute are these? I love note cards, they’re always so quick to put together and because they’re smaller, you can make more of them from a small supplies of materials. I’ve never been one for flowery Designer Series Paper (DSP), I’m more of a stripes and spots person, or making my own by stamping backgrounds. But the tea room speciality paper drew me in and it was worth it.

My daughter chose to craft with me and she chose the butterfly paper, which in her words is the “prettiest from the pack”, and this co-ordinated with the GORGEOUS Rich Razzleberry, another fave colour of mine.

We kept our note cards simple, adding a simple sentiment on a punch out of Very Vanilla using the stamps from the Darling Label Punch Box. Same design, but different cards with each sentiment. Brilliant!

Suzanne

Frosted Floral Box

O M G! The new Autumn / Winter 2018 Catalogue has some of the most gorgeous suites and this one has to be my own personal highlight. When looking at the Designer Series Paper (DSP) in the catalogue or online, you do not see the sheer beauty of this paper series. If there’s any paper series that you love so much that you don’t want to cut into it, then it’s this one. The picture below shows you the sheer beauty of the paper with its pearlescent shine.

Gorgeous, isn’t it? Because of its sheer beauty, I wanted to showcase the paper so that it took centre stage, rather than cutting it into small pieces and using as card fronts. This box is a good size measuring 4″ x 7″ and a lovely 2″ deep. The decoration is simplistic, ensuring the focus remains on the paper. Some of the new cord has been added, which in my opinion is better than any of the cords Stampin’ Up! have previously had.

The sentiment may as well be speaking about the paper, but of course, can be about the intended recipient! Absolutely gorgeous!

Baby Elephant Congratulations

Aww, look at the baby elephant! How cute is this set? And the awesome-ness doesn’t stop there! This gorgeous elephant comes in a bundle including stamp set and punch and teamed with the Twinkle Twinkle Designer Series Paper (DSP), you have endless opportunities for baby related projects.

On this project, I let the paper lead the inspiration and the ideas flowed into this card. Both a pink and a blue one were made and both of them look absolutely gorgeous as the products co-ordinate so well.

The elephants are perfect for cards, boxes, bags, frames – the list is endless! I’m sure you would agree.
