Floral Friends

091018 - Floral Friends.jpg

I’m not a very flowery person, I will be the first to admit. I’m a tomboy who loves nothing more than hoodies, jeans and football. But the Designer Series Paper (DSP) from Stampin’ Up! is converting me, especially the Frosted Florals pack. I’m soooooo in love with it, can you tell?

My favourite retired in-color has always been Mint Macaron, I cried buckets when it retired and was so thrilled when it was listed on the colour refresh. Combine it with doilies and a leaf punch and we’re cooking on gas.

I added a quick panel onto the card to break it up slightly and add another layer, but I think it would look just as good without it.

Suzanne

Real Red Santa Sack

071018 - Real Red Santa Sack

Ho! Ho! Ho! Could I pull of being Santa? No? Ok, I’ll stop. But what I won’t stop doing is making these GORGEOUS Santa Sacks. In the Autumn / Winter Catalogue this year, the inclusion of the Santa Bags instantly made my eyes light up. They are absolutely adorable and so easy to stamp on.

I decided to change the string on mine so that I could include a co-ordinating ribbon. They are so cute when plumped up with items – a handy size for sweet treats, smellies, bath salts / bombs?

Now I’m off to make some more, I’m addicted!

Best Wishes,
Suzanne

Mango Floral Card

041018 - Mango Floral Card

As the weather starts to get a little colder, thoughts go back to the warmer summery days that we were blessed to have for such a long period this year. To help keep that summer feeling alive, I set myself a challenge – Summer on a card.

Summer means bright weather and so of course, the brights collection suited this challenge perfectly. Mango Melody is a colour I haven’t used much as yet, so I used this as my main colour and for the card base. For this card, I tried to show that you don’t always needs Designer Series Paper (DSP) to make a good card. Instead, I used the Beautiful Bouquet set with varying colours to create a random pattern of flowers. So bright and so colourful, just the thing to bring some brightness back!

Have you ever stamped your own backgrounds in this way? Share them with me and perhaps we can inspire one another.

Best Wishes,
Suzanne
