Artistic Thanks

Sometimes the prettiest things happen by accident, you had something completely different in mind or you didn’t know what the finished project would look like but you had a play anyway. Today’s card is one of those moments, whilst on the phone to a friend I was distracted by the conversation taking place and randomly stamped images from the Artistically Inked stamp set on a sheet of Basic White card stock, then cut them out with the co-ordinating dies.

I didn’t know where I was going from here, but I knew that I loved the colours used and the stamped images – they are so pretty and they’re ‘disinktive’ which means a single stamp gives you all the different layers and texture with very little effort, which is the best kind of crafting.

Whilst placing the images onto another sheet of Basic White, I couldn’t help but think it was missing something, so I stamped So Saffron on the background to give some dimension to the other flowers. But again, it was still missing something and then I remembered the Expression in Ink Suite comes with an ephemera pack!

The Gold frames and floral shapes as part of the ephemera pack really gave the ‘wow’ factor to the card and finished it off – I absolutely love it! The sequins are also from the ephemera pack, so really ties the whole project together. A beautiful suite and one well worth the money, I can see myself making a lot more of these cards and gifting them to friends / family / work colleagues.

Best Wishes,
